Just like a tulip bursting through the soil returning for spring my newsletter has returned.🌷My winter was busy and my spring will be less so... I'm looking forward to more time to make art.🎨

Recent studio work
There's been a lot of digital art making around here as, out of necessity, I'm still using my iPad as my current medium. With the Collage Makers Summit taking up a lot of time time using my iPad just makes sense for its ease and portability.
I have started challenging myself to create still life drawings, which is something I haven't done since design school, so at least I'm still pushing myself to do something different.
I'm going to take a weeklong art staycation in a few weeks, so hopefully there'll be plenty of non-digital art to share in my next newsletter.
The mountains are calling... again.
I'm headed back to Colorado for 4.5 weeks this summer! I'm looking forward to cool mountain air, hiking through lodgepole pine forests, and traveling great bike paths. 🌲🚴🏻♂️
I'm fortunate that I have my own business that I can do anywhere in the world. Perhaps in the summer of 2024 I'll spend a month somewhere else (Berlin, maybe?) but for now the mountains are calling me back.

My current Instagram crush is Gloria Gelo.
Gelo is a mixed media artist based in Canada. Her minimal yet bold, graphic work makes my graphic designer heart sing. Gelo strives to "...make art that makes people stop, reflect and recall moments in their lives that bring them joy."

Collage Makers Summit '23 still open
The Collage Makers Summit was a huge success! Almost 1600 students participated in the two week event and more sign up each day. Check out #collagemakerssummit on Instagram to see the awesome collages that many of the students created.
You can still enroll if you haven't. Video lessons from all 10 CMS artists are available through January 2024.
