OCTOBER 2023
If you're in the north I hope you've had a chance to enjoy the amazing Autumn weather! As the seasons shift, my artistic journey takes on new colors, shapes, and inspirations. After the busy and rewarding Gel Printers Summit, it's now a time of reflection, growth, and exploration.
Now on to studio news...
STUDIO NEWS
Recent studio work
Because I've been so busy lately, I've found solace and inspiration in an unexpected place – on my trusty iPad. It has allowed me to indulge in a creative escape during those short moments of solitude on the sofa, even in the midst of a hectic schedule.
Anyway, I've been creating these wonderful photo collages, and the best part is, they feature the essence of my everyday life. I take quick snapshots during my afternoon walks and coffee breaks right in my neighborhood. The urban jungle around me is a treasure trove of captivating scenes and elements, each telling its own story.
I love creating these quick collages. They serve as a tribute to the urban iconography I've always been fascinated by. From busy streets and cityscapes to the quaint coffee shops and graffiti-adorned walls, my neighborhood is a rich tapestry of urban life.
Current studio soundtrack
How can you go through October and not have the soundtrack to It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown on repeat?! It's because of this soundtrack I associate jazz piano with autumn.
IG INSPIRATION
Gordon Studer
My current Instagram crush is Gordon Studer.
Studer is a Sausalito, California based artist with roots in design and commercial illustration "lending his work a strong, graphic cadence."
